Hello Mendenhall Mustangs!

Congratulations on getting off to a GREAT START for our annual Pennies for Patients fundraiser in our math classes. We have already raised over $1,550 to help kids and adults in our community going for treatment for blood-related cancers such as Leukemia and Lymphoma.  Our goals is to raise over $2,000.  We are well on our way to exceed this goal!

Leadership will provide a PIZZA PARTY to the math class period that donates the highest amount of money per student.  In math, we call this a “unit rate”.  Leadership will also award a sweet treat to the highest unit rate math class within each math teacher’s room.

So far…our top unit rate math classes are First Period in Mrs. Stevens’ room, Period 3 in Mr. Weise’s room, Period 3 in Mrs. Hearrean’s room, Period 4 in Ms. Geetha’s room, Period 5 in Mrs. Y’s room, followed by Period 2 in Mrs. Pittman’s room.  The competition is very close, and any class period can win!

Donations of any kind are accepted including coins, dollars, or checks written to Leukemia Lymphoma Society.  Every penny counts!

Thanks so much for your support for this important cause!
