School Dance 10/20/17

Hey Mustangs, it’s leadership!

Just letting you know, our very first school dance is on Friday, October 20th  from 7-9pm. We will be selling wristbands, for $5, the week of 10/16-10/20 after school and at lunch. The theme will remain a secret and you DO NOT have to dress for the occasion, but you are welcome to. Please follow the dress code, all school rules apply. Go Mustangs!!

Girls Basketball 7/8th Grade Tryout Schedule

7th and 8th grade Girls Basketball Open Gym will be held on Monday, October 23rd in the gym. 8th grade open gym runs 2:45 - 4:15 PM. 7th grade open gym will runs from 4:15 - 5:55 PM. 7th and 8th grade TRYOUTS will be held on October 24th and 26th in the gym. 8th Grade tryouts are 2:45 - 4:15 PM. 7th grade tryouts are 4:15 - 5:55 PM. Click here for a copy of the required physical form which must be on file with the front office before athletes can tryout. 6th Grade Info will be posted shortly. Visit the website and listen to your daily announcements for updates!

Volunteer Opportunity - MAKERSPACE!

Are you crafty, techie, creative, an engineer or a builder? If so, we need you! Are you looking to become a meaningful part of our community? Then we would love to have you! The Mendenhall Library Maker Space is looking for parent volunteers who are either willing to develop and teach student projects or supervise and support our students while they explore and learn on their own during their lunch break. This year, Granada Interact is excited to bring Interact to MMS! Sponsored by Rotary, Interact is an international program represented by 20,000 clubs over 165 countries. Students work towards an international and community charity project each year – developing leadership skills and a greater understanding of the wold in the process, as well as making new friends and having a blast!

10/20/17

Open gym for 7th and 8th grade girls basketball begins today in the gym.  8th grade girls open gym will run from 2:45 to 4:15 and 7th grade girls will be from 4:15 to 5:55. 

 

Try-outs for 7th and 8th grade girls basketball will be held tomorrow and Thursday, Oct. 26th.  8th grade try-outs will be from 2:45 to 4:15 and 7th grade will be from 4:15 to 5:55. 

 

Try-outs for 6th grade girls basketball will also be held today and on Tuesday, Oct. 24th in the multi-purpose from 2:45 to 4:45.

 

All girls who are trying out for basketball today must have their physical on file in the office.

 

The Rotary Club of Livermore will hold their 3rd annual Spirit Run this Sunday, October 29th.  Participants are encouraged to wear costumes and will receive unique t-shirts, awards, and refreshments.  The run will begin and end at the Carnegie Park Rotary Bandstand in Livermore.  Register online at Active.com.

The school dance will be tonight from 7 to 9pm. Tickets will be on sale for $5 during lunch and after school. You must have your student I.D. to purchase a ticket.  If you have lost your student I.D. you can purchase one in the office for $5 until lunch time today.  No student I.D.’s will be made after lunch today.

The Bay Area Science Festival presents Discovery Day at Cal State East Bay on October 28th from 11am to 4pm.  There are over 50 activities scheduled with demonstrations, exhibits, hands on experiments and more.  Come out and experience the wonders of science!
